Wherefore Art Thou Whipple?

Talking to Barry Batten from BPT today about AU's, force-feeding and Sniper, eventually had to clarify that I have an I6 after he started to tell me about their Kenne Belle kits. Anyway.....


....he casually mentioned that he recently tuned (IIRC) a black Fairmont I6 with a beautifully neat Whipple supercharger install including a plenum made in Perth. Around 250RWKW, which doesn't sound huge, but bear in mind the Whipple is a positive-displacement blower and is boosting from just off idle. The "area under the curve" is therefore bigger than any other system peaking at the same power.

So, I take it this isn't a member's car or I would have read about it already... is this car known to any of the Sandgropers active here? If so, can you post any details or cajole the owner into coming on-line and sharing the details with us?
