That's not ground zero mate, that sculpture is down at battery park.

This is ground zero

New York is absolutely amazing place. Times Square is just so busy at night!
What did you think of the NY attitude?

yeah I didnt take many pictures of Ground Zero, I was too upset to actually take them, and YES it was in Battery park... I didnt mind the NY attitude at all, I am a big bloke and they took to me quite well... I had one smart walk straight into me...but he was put in his place pretty quickly...apart from that it was an excellent adventure

Looks good Craig, would be good to see more NY pics you can put up, maybe another thread for it in the photography section, or in this thread?

How long did you spend in Central Park? Did you get to see much of it?
We spent 2 and half hours there and only saw about a third of it.
Also, in Fao Schwarz, did you stop at the cafe there? Happen to see the Volcano dessert they offer?

Great photos. My sister-in-law who's working in San Francisco ATM also headed to NY for new years. Said it's a lovely city. Would love to see it for myself.

My wife and I went to NYC for NYE 1999/2000... It was absolutely AWESOME. We got in our 'Pig Pen' about 2 blocks back from the 'ball drop' so we had a perfect view of the proceedings... The only problem was, having flown almost directly to NYC from Brisbane we didnt have anywhere near the warmth of clothing as was required so after waiting in the line for 4 hours, we bailed, went back to hotel, had shower, sat in the nice warm hotel and watched proceedings on TV , then about 11:30pm went to the back of the line (Maybe 10 blocks?).... Still was an awesome night... we just sat back with about 4 cop cars... and we felt safe with them

How on earth can it be THAT cold when the sun is out though, beats me!!!!

Glad you enjoyed, and great photos. One of my wife and I's treasured photos is one of both of us from Statue of liberty looking back towards manhattan and the WTC......

I'm actually currently travelling back and fourth between US and Australia. Driving in NY and not sparking road rage is ridiculously hard!! It is that busy and hectic (compared to lil ol' Adelaide anyway :P) that everywhere you turn there is someone beeping at a car..felt very intimidated driving on NY roads! But lovely place and cant wait to get back to the US in a week or so!!

Glad you had a wild trip, and lovely pictures mate, cheers for sharing!!
