Yeah, this one is a little unexpected.
I'm a yank so not up on Aussie and NZ movie producers, other than the obvious even here in the US, George Miller. What other successful movie producers should I know, the Aussie and NZ Steven Spielbergs and such, especially for action or car related storylines? Are there any up and comers that are generating a lot of buzz? Thanks, Steve

It's "Baz Luhrmann". I'm a resourceful sort.
Wait a minute, all his business addresses are in the USA. Could you have him confused with someone else? Ok, I found he was born in Australia, but I am looking for Producers that are based in Australia. Steve

Try searching for Popular Australian Movies then tracking through to the director.
Should be able to get a few that way.

ALBY MANGLES!!
But he's old news now. Although he could, roll some cars, sink a few boats, fly some planes, crash helicopters and detonate explosives doing all this with an old flame from Adelaide under his arm.

Peter Jackson is a Kiwi.
Edit: Check out "Bad Taste" and "Braindead" (may be known as 'Dead Alive' in the US) for some of his early horror/parody work.

Thanks for the input everyone. I've been to the Aussie AFC and I'm doing research there but I figured the most impressive ones would be known by most movie goers. Just looking for a jumpstart.
Steve
