Engine Leak!

Hey Guys!

Today i picked myself up a 2000 AU Falcon S

I drove it around for abit stopped to get petrol.

When i went back to the car i noticed it had been leaking Green Engine Coolant!

When i stopped again i needed to put water in the radiator as it was pretty much empty from the leak!

I have still been driving the car but with no A/C on. I have not noticed the leak since.

Could this just be a hose problem and if so can someone let me no how to fix her up!

have a look over the motor for any white sort of stains, this is coolant, failing that, the radiator cap may need replacing if it is letting too much coolant out the overflow, you may also have another issue if the cap is ok but it is being blown out the overflow

i would start by checking the water level cold let it warm up and check all hoses and and radiator for leaks, some places are very hard to see without having the car up on a hoist or ramp and with the with stone tray off, quiet a few au`s have had radiators replaced last year or 2, alloy radiators dont last like the old copper ones, mine lasted about 100000 k`s, my water pump started seeping out of the tell tale hole in bottom of it at 110000 k`s, if you can`t find the leak take it to a mechanic or radiator repair place and they can do a cooling system pressure test on it for you.

I agree with mik... a pressure test from a Radiator Specialist is a good start... they can normally pin point the issue the easiest, as thats what they are trained to do (i should know :P )
