Default Car rentals-lack of Fords

I just rang around the different car rental company's and to my surprise my request for a Ford Falcon car to hire for two days from Hobart Airport to Launceston the following day the Avis car rentals don't have Falcons at all they just have Commodore's and Magnas as with Thrifty they just have Magnas, and the only company so far that has Falcons is Europcars and even them there is no guarantee to pick up a Ford. I will definately not hire a Commodore as it is against my religion lol.
Cheers John

Hertz.
I'm fairly sure they're even owned by Ford.

I'm starting to think Spirit of Tassie II would be the next best option.

Nope nothing lol, because it was their fault, damn it was good, leather jaguar seats droolll lol. Although i can imagine it would be a fair bit more expensive to hire out normally compared to the ford.

Big fleet discounts by Holden and Mitsubishi, keeps those car networks without Fords.

I went with Hertz last time I was in Tassie, 100 dollars for 2 days (gotta love corporate discount), only downfall was we got a commodore. It did the job nicely and the only other option was a sonata WTF. I would not count your chickens you will get a falcon, they can never guarantee it though and the falcon is normally the one thats the first choice to drive.

Damn Eurocar or whatever their called, I wanted a Ford, didn't care if it was a Focus or an AU. I was told they had plenty, when I got there they were apparently all booked and I had to take the Lancer. What a POS!! :

It reminds me of Seinfeld :evil_laug :evil_laug :evil_laug

Around 1999-ish (my memory is like a sieve) my hubby's work had to rent him an AU to drive to Dubbo so he could go fix their network. Needless to say that donuts in a rental car are much more fun.

He came back with a great first impression and a speeding ticket...
