Default Unichip Tune in Brisbane

I was wondering if you guys had a contact or knew of anyone in Brisbane (North Side) that can tune unichips?

I have had the engine rebuilt (au) and the turbo put back on and it runs great just needs a tune to get the boost back up and to get it running smooth again now that its run in. I tried RPM Motorsport in Morayfield however they are unable to help and when searching for unichip on google they don’t have a list of workshops that can tune the car. Does anyone know of someone I could try?

I know this thought has probably crossed your mind, but why not rip the unichip out and get an edit done?

My thoughts too, I have visions of the Unichip having a tantrum and pulling fuel out at WOT. BANG! Not good.

They dont tune unichips as far as i am aware.
As already stated i would pull the unichip out and put an edit in, if you did this RDP would be able to help you out.

lol @ unichips.

Dont waste your time, get a edit done, then most decent tuning workshops can tune it.

It mite pay to perseve a bit longer and see who you can find, While the Edit would be the best option you just carnt un plug a unichip you have to have a bridge plug or put the wiring back to stock .. or do a cruise to melb. : G&D installed and tuned mine and Im still looking for a unopened Edited AU to catch me : :

Duffman,
if you decide to sell it (because others would have you believe they are no good), I'll buy it cheap rather than see you throw it in the bin.

If you wait a while, you could get the Sniper which is reportedly even better than edit

If its a V8 then get the edit but you will probably need a larger MAF. If its a 6 cylinder then you wont be able to use the edit as there is a high frequency cut on the map sensor at around 4psi. So you may be limited.

my friend had a chiptorque, but any good tuner should be able to tune them, here is a link to aps (unichip) website with dealers. http://www.airpowersystems.com/aus_spec/aus_dealers.htm

Last I heard F.I.S.T. went under. If they are around I wouldn't go there.

If it's an AU 6 that advice doesn't apply. The AU TMAP signals manifold pressure (vacuum) by analogue voltage not digital frequency as in the earlier models with separate MAP and IAT sensors. The edit should be fine with a GM 2-bar (or 3-bar if running more than 14psi) MAP sensor installed and wired into the ECU in place of the pressure signal from the original TMAP. That will also give the tuner the chance to program the ECU to respond to any overboost spikes.

Guys at Elite do a great job, highly reccommended. Bob Romano also very good and a bit closer to you. Not sure if either deal with Unichip though, but as said a flash tuner will get much better results.

If I had a unichip, and was in need of a tuner, I think I'd probably go to the unichip website and see if they have a list of dealers. The do, and going off it the most suitable one for yourself would be CNJ Motorsport (07) 3290 3966.
