18's on the front and stockies on the back is the best for doing burnouts and getting the *** end fangin' out sideways

Mine's the same colour and is riding on turboblades. The only difference is mine is on lows rather than superlows

I'm not one for trying to make the car look "hektic". I reckon it sits nice, but at the same time is still practical. Lowered cars don't look so great when you've ripped the front bumper off on a kerb. As it is, my towbar (which I do sometimes use) hits the ground in my driveway

I use a towbar on the EL, and it's more slammed than that. Not just some Ford spec 1200kg one, this is top of the line after market Boronia Towbars square tube heavy duty truck towing stuff.

And back the Hektic truck up! Is that a reference to nationality? I don't care if your car looks skip, it was just a suggestion.

No. It wasn't. Hektic seems to be commonly used on dumped cars with stockies. I hate stockies, and with the high number of kms I do, I just want this to be practical. As it is, I'm completely over modding my car now. I'm not going to do much more. It's just an old crapbox EA with front end damage. I've spent more on it recently than what it's worth.

Ease up Dez! I've never heard Hektic used and I see / hear about a lot of dumped cars.

Are you getting a XR6 Turbo?

I wish. I might trade in the EA on a later E-series at some stage, but at the moment the main priority is to use it to get to work and back 5 days a week. It still does drive pretty well, and the worst of it's problems have been fixed.

And maybe "hektic" wasn't the right word to use. I've just seen it used a few times on the forums. I was going to use "sick" minus the c, but the forums just blanked it out like a swear word.

And Shaun, yes it's lowered. Also that photo was taken with a near empty fuel tank. The amount of fuel in it seems to make a fair difference in the rear ride height. In that photo, the back would sit at least 2 inches lower than it did, and the front maybe 1.5

Jeez, digging up the past there LOL Try your local wreckers for a set mate. $hitloads of these "stockies" out there. I had a set on my XF 14 years ago.

A wreckers would be your best bet. Otherwise a Taxi Depot might have some without Rubber.

Unless you are using them for some Burnout Tyres, look at something better for your EF. Don't ruin the look of your car.

Well done for Mining - this means you used the search function. Congratulations.

About 6 months back I bought some stocko steel rims for my EL... cost me about $140 from memory. The guy at the yard also made sure he found some STRAIGHT rims as well.

In fact he even gave me one with a free tyre (not that I needed it) because he could only find 3 straight rims without tyres.

They're working a treat, no balancing problems at all.
