Regarding: The Hastings District Flying Club Heritage Week 2008 Open Weekend
In 2008, the Hastings District Flying Club is celebrating its 50th anniversary with an Open House weekend on the 12th and 13th of April. These dates coincide with Heritage Week and the event will be advertised in the PMH Council Heritage Week calendar and brochure. The Flying Club invites the members of the Ford owners club to participate in its Open Weekend celebrations by providing a display of cars at the HDFC club house and hangar on Saturday 12th April 2008. The club house is located at Port Macquarie airport and will be open from 8.30am to 5pm on both days of the weekend. We are planning a display of aircraft and memorabilia. A barbeque lunch will be available at a small charge or picnic in the grounds. Above letter is our official invite to this event: As you can see above, our club has been invited to attend this event. It was confirmed at the September 27th Meeting 2007(Airport Show and Shine. Committee approved the clubs partaking in the 50th anniversary of aviation in Port Macquarie celebration in April 2008 by way of Show and Shine in the Car park at The Airport.). I think we as a club need to attend this event, not only because it was promised so to speak last year,but we have not had a local showing of our cars and we need to be seen and get our name & club out there for the public to see...cheers Joolz Forgot to mention a meeting time......So 8am at Food For Less Carpark on Saturday the 12th April....
