Its a great looking car, and definatley well worth it, but i was wondering what does it cost to get the car to Australia. What sort of costs are involved and is it as easy as just buying a shipping container sticking it on a boat and picking it up at the docs. I assume there are companies out there that will get the ca here for your?

i'd say he would go through a car importing company, as it costs the same to bring in a container weather its got just his car in it or it is full to the brim.

i remember reading in street machine ages ago, tehy did an article on how they pack a container.
they build platforms inside and can pack so much stuff into a container its amasing..

i wouldn't do it mate sorry unless your rich and don't care about the cost. you gotta look at the reserve. + transport + possible import taxes ++++ why the real reason for selling is . if it was good and cheap he wouldn't have to put it on e'bay someone would've bought it before it went for sale . then you risk . condition, scam, damage cost of mods etc etc etc . the list goes on.unless of course you fly over to view it 1st. don't do it dont trust a photo .....

Actually wayne, once your cargo goes over a certain volume of the container its cheaper to hire the whole container than to pay for your section of it. And a car and trailer would take up a fair volume of a 20' FCL.

what do u think the cops will do to me if i burn around the block in it? i wouls like to get it BUT as my gut feeling to start with stops me from placing a bid, firstly he couls sell that thing in a secons if it was a real 9 sec car with no adds, second there has to be some catch to the cheap price, maybe its tired and need lots of mechanicle work
