Daughter is going overseas and wants to back up her photos to her 80 gig ipod. Any one done this and if yes how??

not sure where to find it in itunes but you select a folder you want the ipod to sync with.
Or easier would be to enable disk use. then just copy paste easy. |

There is a connector that allows certain camera's to transfer images directly to the ipod, however it is VERY slow and uses up a lot of the battery life.

Streetwise have them still, but they don't seem to be available on the applestore online.

They aren't compatible with ipod classics though, so if hers is an 80GB it may be a 5th generation (iPod with video) or a classic. I use mine with my 4th Gen iPod photo and use a cheap USB card reader to put the memory card into to save the camera batteries. You can view the photos on the iPod screen but you can't output them to TV until they have been extracted with iTunes and optimized versions copied back. This isn't a problem though if it is for backup only. Could she bring a card adapter and email them home from internet cafes while overseas? |
