Come to the Hunter Valley. You can get flights direct from Melbourne to Newcastle which only takes an hour and half. Then its a 40 minute drive to the wineries etc. Its about 21 deg during the day at the moment!

There are some great sights and some very s****y hotels to stay in.

Much better than needing 2 flights in each direction, the waits in between and spending 5 hrs each way in the air...

You;ll have much more time for just you two to relax!
