Though i love my fiestas, I still have a soft spot for the Focus RS Mk1 and im my favourite colour. WAKE UP FORD AUS.

It's worth renting a place in the UK for 12 months just to buy one there, then be able to bring it back at the end of the 12 months!

yahuh.. or get your relatives to buy one (You pay them of course for all expenses) and put it into the garage for 12 months then at the end get it shipped to AUS.

For those with British and Australian passports its easy....
You fly to England, arrive on Aus passport, buy the car, garage with family, fly back to Oz on your Pom passport, be here for 12 months on your pom passport, leave, go back ship the car back, leave on your Aus passport, and you meet all criteria... im pretty sure when you do a private import, you need to do a copy of every single page of your Australian passportTo prove you were there for 12 months! ........ and I think you need to prove it has been driven in the UK... so fuel receipts would suffice... (I was looking at importing a mondeo wagon about 4 years ago!)
