Prepsol/WD40, and a lot of force.

if you're talking about tailshaft bolts i've got a plan of attack.. i remember how i did it last time though they wouldnt of been as tight as they are now. i used my torque wrench as a breaker bar on the 18mm bolts and that got them undone quite easily. the torque wrench is bigger than your breaker bar and yeah i that should get it... hopefully. i remember i was having trouble using a socket wrench thing.. and then the torque wrench got them really easily.

dont know what its called but there is a device that you can put a socket on the end of , and the other end you belt with a hammer which force the bolt undone.
someone should know what they are called. cant think of it at the moment.
impact driver maybe?????

using a torque wrench as a breaker bar will ruin its calibration in a real hurry

davway i think you are correct in saying that tool is a impact driver

another way is to heat the bolt with a oxy torch then go at it with a breaker bar and impact socket

dont use a torque wrench as a breaker bar if you can avoid it. Go to a hardware store and grab 18" of 1" steam pipe, put that over the end of a spanner and hang off it - I have never found a bolt that wont budge.

thats ok i dont want to use this torque wrench as a torque wrench anyway.. its one of the cheaper ones and isnt very accurate at all. i used it on my rocker gear and one of the rocker gear bolt heads snapped off, and i used it on my tailshaft bolts and they ended up coming loose lol. so it works better as a breaker bar

yea impact wrench will work...

otherwise get a long socket handle.. torque wrenches have a tendency to themselves when put in situation...

WeetBix are a must before anything involving strength!

no wonder your torque wrench doesnt work too well neb, using them backwards hurts them really badly.

I havent even used mine yet.. i need some 1/2inch drive sockets good excuse to go shopping i think!
