hey ya'll i gots me a au fairmont and all the lights on the dash stereo speedo computer all turn off when i turn on the headlights,, you can see the speedo VERY faintly but everything else fades out in like 1-2 seconds can anybody think what would cause this?

Haven't turned the dimmer switch down as you've turned them on have you?

push the dimmer switch up, not far enough that it switches on the interior lights but push and hold up and the lights will come back up in brightness.
