Default Virgin Credit Card. Who's got one?

Looking at one of these, not for myself but for the parents as they are tired of paying the excessive fees of the banks cards.

Anyone have one?

Good Rate - and you get to pick the colour of your plastic - which is very important!

Just remember that Virgin is Westpac in disguise…

So in comparison to a MasterCard or Visa, how would you rate it?

They are a pain in the **** to use in the eftpos terminals at my work because of the corner bit missing.

LOL I've never had a problem with the shape of the card....

Have a look HERE @ the Mastercard website, it compares every Mastercard in a table, with all the features, thats the site that helped me decide to go the Virgin.

yep, have one.....a pretty pink one.

Good rate, no fees. Only problem I have is they gave me a rediculously high credit limit, which is very dangerous for a girl, and I have asked them about 10 times to reduce the limit, and they still haven't done it. Now I just have to have self control...not one of my best attributes!!

We've gone with the BankWest credit card, cos of the 0% interest when you take your old credit card limit across, and a 12% interest rate rather than the 18% one we are paying on the ANZ Visa. Say, for example, we pay $100 a month off the ANZ one, in reality it's only $65 cos we pay $35 in interest and fees. It's taking forever to get rid of the bugger. Stuff that

I liked my old Credit Union's Mastercard - it was so prettiful (yes, this is a made-up word). Lots of flowers all over it, got commented on quite often (mostly by checkout chicks). But TG that one's gone, it was a 19.5% interest rate!

Most credit cards will give you a nice interest free period if you transfer the balance from someone elses.

Commonwealth visa serves me well, nice soft limit (i.e. can go well and truly past the agreed limit, no fees). A good feature for any e-series owner, lol.

**thread hi-jack spotted** was having a chat with one of my superiors about virgin superannuation... apparantley it's just a sub fund under someone else's trusteeship. Little disappointing (i.e. superannuation $$$ still being spent on scones and coffee for the Board, just like any other big fund). But no-frills super seems like a great idea, even if the fees are only 10% cheaper than average (that compounds pretty well over a 50 year stint in the workforce!!). I'm gonna look into them at some stage....

My Bank Of QLD one is quite good.

9.99% annual interest rate.

The bad thing is annual fees.

I took a stab with the Aussie home loan credit card, low rate (10%), lowish annual fees, not a bad card...
