Default New Fuel Pump what to get?

I think my fuel pump is packing it in cause the car leans out all the time, especially just after startup. I've got an A/F meter in the car and it dips right into the red and you get no acceleration when it flat spots. I'm thinking its the pump cause I probably killed it when I ran super high fuel pressure with the turbo setup.

Anyway, I'm gonna run NOS in the future so i want something that's got a bit more flow than the stocko MPI fuel pump. I heard that Walbro make a good in-tank pump that flows a heap of fuel, and if I remember correctly there is a Merc Benz pump that flows a fair bit but I don't know what model it's from. Then there is always the Bosch ones, I think it's the 070 or VL turbo ones or something?

Anyway, what I want to know is what pumps do you guys recommend and do i have to get an in-tank one or can i just **** that off and get an external one?

Cheers
Doug.

edit: how much do the MPI Ford pumps flow btw?

You should be able to pick up an intank 500hp walbro pump for $160 from ebay or Performance forums, calaisturbo forums etc etc.

I had one but never fitted it and sold it along with my turbo gear. Apparantly they are pretty good.

Yeah I'll check it out on the weekend mick and let u know. I might change the reg first like dellboy said cause im sure i've got one lying around somewhere. Actually i might go over the whole fuel system and change the filter too cause I always run my tank till the light comes on :P

Well i changed

Fuel Reg
Fuel Filter
Injectors
Fuel Pump
and just for the sake of it, fitted another fuel rail and buffed it up

Made no difference :|

The pump to go for is the Walbro 255l/hr GSS340. Don't get sucked into buying a GSS342 as they are set up as returnless pumps and are not happy running constantly and lead to premature failure.

Would a GSS-341 be any good? They are the ones they have on ebay.
