Default 5 Speed & Exhaust Bracket..? + Wiring

5/6 of the way thru converting the EA to 5 speed (clutch cable to go in, tailshaft to be connected, gear boot and surround to be put in...) and just not sure what is supposed to happen with the exhaust bracket?

On the auto the bracket just sort of slides into a hole in front of the crossmember... on the 5 speed nothing is here? option atm looks like just welding the bracket to the t5 with a mig welder in the morning... any other ideas? Car sits too low just to let it hang... but i'm not sure on exhaust vibrations etc if the bracket is just welded up?

other thing is the Neutral switch, we wanna bypass this but I cbf finding the right relay, am I right to pull the wires from the neutral switch at the gearbox, solder them together, and then tape them to the loom (leaving nothing connected the the neutral switch)? the switch only completes the circuit for the relay anyway correct?

I dont have an exhaust braket with mine either. Exhaust place said it would be fine anyway. I have seen pics of a t5 ith an exhaust braket that bolted through the holes just below the tailshaft snout.

To bypass the NSS you just dont plug the wires to the sensor iirc. I think the sensor shorts when you are in gear and is open when in neutral, so you dont need to solder wires together.

Appears to be the other way around, pulled apart a loom from the spare car, soldered two blade connectors together and plugged them into the gearbox loom, taped it up... starts, idles and drives fine...

exhaust isnt connected to any bracket or anything but as the car is low im gonna look at getting somewhere to weld a bracket and put a rubber on the crossmember...
