Cool Some dealers do really know their cars.

Spotted this in the local papers... Must be the drinking water.

Pictured in photo is a AU XR sedan.

Hardly the dealers lack of knowledge or fault if the newspaper stuff up what they print.

Yep and then the setup and printing geeks stuff it up.

A mate of mine has pictures from a plumbing wholesaler all over his yellow pages ads (he sells PABXs).

He has the original approved artwork and now lots of compensation.

I see this all of the time, just take a look through carsguide, or even better carpoint.com.au.

now thats a bit unfair. all the printer does is put the ink on the paper. the setup guys (as you call them) on the other hand regularly stuff up.

I'm a printer (10 colour perfector) and whilst we do give most jobs a quick proof read of sorts, we are under a reasonable amount of pressure re production times and what not. being a car person, there's a good chance i would've picked up that but whether anything would have been done is another story. most car ads have disclaimers somewhere regarding the photo's anyway.

most of the arguments/discussions at work always seem to end with the comments - not our fault, disk supplied. most times if the job is done 'in house' then its pretty good.
