hi well just finished changing oil on the car started it up and dumped bout 4 litres of oil out of the filter didnt realise that that the old o ring seal from the first filter hadnt come off had to spend another 40 bucks to get some more oil will be more careful next time

yeah you must always check the old seal is off ,2 seals dont make a good seal ....don`t worry your not the first to get caught on that one.

Interesting...so you guys don't clean the mating surfaces prior to installing the new filter???
The first thing I was taught when I was about 16. |

I did that trick when I was a first year apprentice years ago. After a reaming from the Foreman I never did that again!

Came back with 5lts of nulon oil= $35, and a Z145, i needed a Z154  : .Put it on, filled it with oil, spewed it all over the driveway..not happy Jan!! Turns out the seal diameter is smaller on the Z145 and is to suit a Skyline. |

you should never do them up more than hand tight
