Default Interesting discovery

Was cruising home the other day,the locals were in there usual spot with the hand held gun, only me on the road so stopped to ask reading to how accurate speedo is,I was on 60/61kph,the reading was 54kph,reason according to local was he was on an angle and that slows the reading.

Technically, that makes sense, but how or why would they be on an angle? A few degrees away from pointing straight at your grille wouldn't make a difference, more than 10 degrees you'd have to wonder if they were using the gun in the right spot.

Are you sure they weren't shyttin' you, John?

54km just falls in the +/- 10% allowance on your speedo.
if you find yourself being overtaken by traffic or have 'impatient' people behind you, you know why.
if not, maybe your diff centre has been changed or you have the wrong size tyres which is affecting the readout of your speedo.

Swanny,i don't think he was ten me,they park themselves at a T junction and look up the hill,in order to do this they use some growth on the nature strip to cover themselves, they are about 5/10 mtrs back from the main road, which puts them on the angle, which if I'm right is somewhere between 0 and 40 degrees,as I said I know I was doing 60/61kph,because I know they hang out there. Sometimes they even cross the road and stand behind the power pole which gives them a straighter angle.
