Hi All, had a couple of responses to my earlier post, bought a block in poor shape, but would prefer something better.... So please if you have a motor or motor/gearbox or parts (flywheel, carb, clutch etc) preferably near Canberra or available to ACT please respond.
Would the person from Lake George please call again as I don't have your contact details. Thankyou to the offer of auto's but really prefer manual if possible. |

May be able to help... and am CBR local.
But first, how to identify Pinto high-comp 'manual' motors from low-comp 'auto' motors. Someone mentioned rocker cover colour...but mine is chrome. Came out of MK1 Escort with manual box, but who knows about motor. Alternately, ex-Capri Kent 1600 711M block rebuilder, other machined parts ready to go. Interested? No email, 'tho options here appear to be set ok.
Checked engine today - chrome rocker and timing belt covers. Should polish up reasonable. Numbers/markings 70HM6015B-A 4L76 CK4PTC*****R Give me a call/text/mail if interested 0402 202 262 Cheers Allan |
