Default nizpro intake manifold

hey all,

does anyone know if the nizpro intake manifold for the new xr6t will fit on an ef engine? (reason being, the ef has a hair dryer and i would like to move the throttle body closer to the front)

cheers

Yep, they will fit. I was told I would gain approx 20rwkw on my AU if I used one.

EDIT- Definately not worth the cash in my opinion.

Dont worry about it, on my Turboed EF monty i just had a ED intake manifold on it because the BBM is not needed in a forced application... the only thing is... the air con compressor wont fit, but who needs that :P.

But if you do want the TB there, im sure some one would be willing to fabricate a new top half to your original intake manifold for much less than $1600...

Im using the regular manifold with my AU and I have next to no lag anyway! Is your car already turbo or are you planning to do it?

Ahh nice! Sounds like a big turbo. I dont know the specs of them though. Thats decent power for 7psi.
Nothing quite like a turboed non turbo falcon!

I bought an Eboost today so hopefully I can crack into the 300rwkw's on the weekend. At the moment Im having trouble keeping a constant boost level. :(

Yeah I was supposed to race at heathcote 2 weeks ago but it was rained out. Its been rescheduled to the 13th now. Hopefully it runs some good times.

The eboost was $660 :(

It should fix the problem though and thats all I care about at the moment. I want my 300!

It better fix it! Not having 300rwkw sucks, I can only imagine what people with less than 200rwkw feel like :P

thread maker here

yeah, the car is already turboed (GT35/40), 48mm external gate, front cooler. I want to reduce the amount of ic piping that sits under the bonnet - warming the intake charge after cooling it really s me

$1600 - bloody hell, bugger that. I will go back to getting a custom one made. I'm on lpg so I don't need the injector holes and I would ideally like it to be slightly bigger because of the gas.

anyway - thanks for the info
