I've heard stories of people with swimming pools who live in the hills finding koalas drowned in there, they come down for a drink and fall in, and can't swim.

Poor thing must have been "parched is bro!".

Images circulating via email reveal a family sheltering in their home in Maude, between Melbourne and Geelong, when a koala walked onto their back porch and into the laundry. Assuming it was distressed by the heat, the girl in the photos filled a bucket with water and — after a prod and a quick drink — the marsupial climbed in for a refreshing dip.

He was a dirty little fella eh?

So, on the bike ride - what did you do with him after he had a drink? Did he just take off or did you put him somewhere?

I think they are keen to abnormally drink water as the dry heat would have sucked all the moisture from the leaves they eat which is where they usually get their moisture right?
