Default Stone Chips

so today i was happily driving away from dropping off my mate at his house when someone decided to be an absolute idiot! my friend lives in a bit of a rural area and theres a lot of stones/dirt and people often go a bit crazy with their speeding.
im doing 80 in an 80 zone and some idiot in a 4wd has come up from behind doing at very least 120, decided to overtake me but as there were cars coming form the other side he overtook from the left spraying stones onto my car left right and centre!!! he took off in a cloud of dust and i couldnt see and was too shaken to get his number plate.... the bottom half of my left passenger door is absolutely RUINED i need to get the whole thing resprayed, ill post pictures when i get a bit less depressed so i can go outside and look at it again

sorry i just had to vent, its amazing how stupid some people can be on the roads

Yeah, some other drivers have no consideration for your car, and dont think about the car behind when they veer off the bitumen. Its the problem with gravel roads, and roads with gravel verges. Also roads which have recently been resurfaced, the signs they put up dont mean anything to some. I try to stay well away from any other vehicles in those situations, but sometimes I find I just cant avoid getting paint damage.

The front of my car is full of paint damage just from driving on freeways because of those reasons, as well as dents from bolts etc coming from other vehicles. Trucks are bad from throwing things up, dirt clumps and rocks from their wheels ( I keep well away from trucks carrying escavators etc now), as well as gravel coming from tippers. Another reason for me delaying replacing my car, I just dont want the new car to get damaged from stuff being thrown up from other vehicles.
