Default Best fishing in sydney??

Hi all

Just wanted to know where are the best land fishing spots around sydney area?? Me and a few mates are gunna spend a few sundays lounging by the bay

I'd be interestd in this answer as well. Seems I can't even catch a cold lately, and also have 2 littlies (4 and 8) that I would like to take fishing if anyone has any good suggestions on a place.

Laparouse in Botany Bay off the rocks or on the beach [no waves] the place to catch a GIANT whiting.A couple food shops are walking distance.

Try Wottamulla in the National park, some awesome action when there biting or on the Nth side of the Harbour try Narrabeen of the beach where the entrance to the lake starts also Dee Why beach was another good spot

I'll second the above but also the Harbour opposite Watsons Bay or near the naval base in front of Balmoral, some good size flatties, bream and tailor at the right time.

I hear if you try fishing armed with a surfboard along a NSW beach of late the shark fishing is ideal?

I never get past the boat ramp. Honestly, you can spend hours watching people trying to reverse, and its a whole lot of laughs. One guy had his dads boat and being a hero in front of his mates, decided to reverse down the ramp fast, jump on the brakes and launch it off the trailer. Well, he misjudged his distances and launched it right into the concrete. Seriously, one of the funniest days out.
