Default Short story on the delay.............

Guys,

I maybe should have mentioned this earlier......but here goes.

When we started on this new Factory, I decided to do it as an "owner/builder", something i think ive learnt greatly from.

When the steelwork was done, Ill be honest, I wasn't happy with it. So as well as running BPR, we had the BPR team after hours next door with the MIG fixing all the steelwork, and making it suitable for OUR engineer to pass.

I wanted to have the dyno cell on a floating slab to minimise noise, this was another delay. Finally, after a discussion with the builder, he had the good sense to see it my way, and re-do it all.

Weather was against us, we had to fix up a few little things around the carpark to make the council happy, the glass guys took their time and then disaster struck. We lost Craig.

After Craigs passing, we walked away from the place. Craig and I had discussed on more than one occasion Craig coming on board, and cementing our team together, and Craig was more than a little excited by the prospect. When Craig passed, the dreams of the factory and racing modular fords were all but over.

Over Xmas, we found some energy - at home i was reading some "Motivational" material that Craig had written, and we slammed back into gear and got started, but a 2nd disaster struck when another mate and LS1 customer was tragically killed in a car crash. He was at the time overseeing the finalisation of the Glass install.

So right now? the toilet and storeroom and staircase in the showroom area are just about finished, as is the lunchroom, toilets/shower and gymnasium at the rear. A few more small things are to take place with the glass work and after some plastering and further paintwork we will be ready.

Thanks everyone for your patience, and there are 5 key players on AFF who have helped us out in a big fashion - i wont name them, but they know who they are, and when the time comes, the favour will be returned.

Thanks for your patience everyone.

Chris

Chris, just give a buzz when you want the stuff for the toilets etc.

Will only take me a day or 2 to get it up to you.

Sorry I didn't get back to you after my last visit. Things have just been very hectic.

Here some pics from last friday when we had a meet and greet with free food and drink for the FPV & XR club of NSW and some of the boys that headed up to heathcote for the AFF drag day.

We gave a KB Blower demo on the dyno and a few joy rides with chris in a KB car, show the differances between blower construction with a few old blowers we had laying around and how they all work.

Also we displayed the insides of your blower with our intercooler core visable which has been hidden away for a while now and the differances between 2.6, 2.8 and 2.8H KB blowers.

Chris brought out the the larger plenum we have been working on to show a few people (sorry no pics)

Dyno room is still not complete due to a issues out of our control ATM.

Thanks to everyone that attended the day.

Check out the seagulls hanging around the BBQ ( Steff : )

Awsome, thanks so much for the update Theo.

Mate - do me a favour - remind Chrisso that there's a guy down in tassie, a bald headed skinny bastard - mad keen to fit up the BPR improved intake set up.

Happy to fit a prototype to evaluate the mod.

Hope you're well big fellar.
