Yes please. How about following the same concept ford... Falcon XR8 Sprint? for club race duties? Similar to HSV GTS-R

It appeals to me because it is a little ugly. It looks like a purpose built machine that is made to be driven hard.

The wing is ugly, but no doubt there for a purpose if that cammer 5.0L donk is revving hard pushing that beast around a track.

I love it, and the spoiler would come in handy with 500hp on the track.

I think the Mustang GT-R is fugly. 440hp @ 7000rpm and 400ftlbs @ 5500rpm isn't my cup of tea either. A Supercharged 5.4 with 500hp @ 6000 and 600ftlbs @ 2000 - 5000rpm would be much nicer IMHO. 600ftlbs throughout the rev range... mmm... torque...

It would be a great thing, in a car that looked like the normal GT Mustang.

Or maybe this car...

1967 Ford GT Mk4

7.0litre (427ci) Big Block V8
373kW @ 6400rpm
637Nm @ 5000rpm

0-100km/h: 3.3 sec (est.)
Standing-1/4 Mile: 10.5 sec (est.)
Top Speed: 354km/h

Ford will never have the balls to make a car like that again, which is a shame. They could make every supercar/exotic car maker quiver in fear, just like they did to Ferrari and such in the 1960's.

I'm Pretty sure Ford or one of there production houses has remade it in the last 6-8months or so.

now the price on the 05 gt-r 200k is way excessive, When they released photos of the 05 range the photos of the gt-r the price was $60k usd

as the std v8 mustang price is mid $30k

Ohh I think it looks HORN as. :eclipsee_

Are you talking about the 2005 GT? The 410kW 678Nm car that can match the '67 GT40 Mk4 for 0-100km/h acceleration, is almost 1 sec down in 1/4 mile, 24km/h slower top end, and slower around a race track?

Considering how awesome the GT40 was back in 1967 (a car as fast wasn't built until the McLaren F1 in 1993)... the new GT is a pushover... it pushes no boundaries like the old one did, it simply conforms.

As for the GT-R.. are they even going to make that thing?

Thats a little over 540Nm which isn't bad for NA 5 Litres seeing the thing wouldn't be overly heavy & how its geared. Torque is nice but there is something for me that ringing the crap out of strong NA engine that no amount of boost can replace despite what a bit of paper says.

Nice. If the wing is removed (for street duties) she will be a fine looking car.
