Default eBay Find: Demon Tuning UK

Coupla things of interest I found while surfing eBay:

Race Mode Kit

VariPower Controller

To be honest, I'm curious enough to consider buying one of these to test, but I don't want to f--k up my car.

Opinions, anyone?

Every Car Forum needs someone's car to be a test muel. Makes for more fun reading lol. How can something see cheap give heaps more reliable power? :king:

check out this re the varipower kit
http://www.tyresmoke.net/ubbthreads/...?Number=410094

I suspect the race mode thing is the same, changing the resistances that the ECU sees so it overfuels. Making the ECU think the engine and the air are cold might do it.

cheap and cheerfull. At least the varipower one includes a variable resistor, so you could try it and increase the extra fuel until a problem arises or a light comes on.

Personally, I'd not touch it with a very long pole unless I was prepared to trash the engine.

It seems Fords are excluded from any of the tuning equipment application lists - except the Galaxy.

So somehow I doubt it. Pity.

I had the same curiosity as you are having before: -

If you installed such RACE MODE into your car, I am sure that you will be *** kicking by the Ford Service Technician while you perform your car service (my friend is a trainee technician in Dale Ford Service Center).

However, they suggest to change only the performance kits (but not recommend for vehicle under warranty) include spark lead and plug, K&N panel air filter, fuel injector and a fuel controller, ECU reset (about $400-$450 - depends on the brand name) from proper garage. This might helps 10-15HPS without damage the engine.
