Hi,
Looking to insure my 1980 MkII Escort - any advice as to who would be a good group to go through? It would seem that the standard companies under-value the car a great deal (car is in good condition mechanically / exterior and interior) - was thinking that Shannons may well be the best bet??... Any ideas or leads would be greatly appreciated. Cheers

I would also say try Shannons. I cant remember who I talked to but they said that basically it wasnt worth insuring and that i should just get 3rd party.

Cheers guys - Had a quick quote from Shannons yesterday which seemed half-reasonable.
Also have a mate who is an Insurance Broker chasing up some leads. Thanks for the advice!

I am with the RAA in Adelaide. I had to give them photo's of my RS and they agreed with a value of $10000. Full comp costs me $250 per year.

No I do not mean agreed value. The RACV guy told me that the market value on the 1980 Escort 1.6 L Sedan was $3000.
