Default Truck driver job / bobcat, work experience

Got my HR licence and going for my LS skid steer [bobcat] ticket soon. I would like a job in this feild of work, or any truck driving job so I can gain experience. I am even willing to do unpaid work experience in a bobcat, untill I gain my ticket. I have had a totally clean open licence for over 15 years now, and will treat equipment with respect. I just need someone willing to give me a start.

If anyone could help in any way just let us know. I am located on the Sunshine Coast.

Thanks in advance,

Scott.

You may have to consider moving/temporarily relocating to where the work is. Don't know your family position. I got a van and dragged it to Mackay to get an immediate start on HR license because I couldn't get a gig on my home turf nth of Sydney.
There are jobs going at Moranbah for people with skid steer license with immediate start but you have to have accommodation there. Good luck but you will need to be flexible in this economic climate which is likely to get worse so better to act now and take anything anywhere to get the experience

Due to current commitments relocation is not an option at this time. I will just keep spreading the word and hope something will turn up. And when I get a job I will work hard to keep it.

What current commitments you may ask ? Just look at the link below and it should explain why I can't and don't wish to relocate at this time.

Wow moving all the way to Mackay, must not have looked to hard around Sydney, most major transport company's are always looking for drivers, never been out of work as a wheel jockey

Getting a job with a HR licence should be that difficult. That's unless you're only chasing local work and not interstate. Or are you chasing work with a skidsteer as well? If that's the case, you might have to wait a while.

You might also find it difficult to get "unpaid" work due to Gov't redtape.

Good luck with the hunt
