Hi all,
I'm directing a theatre production to be performed during the 20-25th of April. The play is called PILLOWSHOCK It's a bit of a hell ride. It's set in Detroit and follows a young auto-designer and his time at the fictional Echelon Motor Co. of America. He's a genius who's been assigned the task of re-designing the flagship muscle car for Echelon...thing is, he's also a lunatic. Throw in an Australian personal assistant who has her own agenda and you've got hell on all four wheels! Now I know that most people on Ford Forums aren't into theatre! But this one is might well be what you're after. If you're in Sydney and want a night out of 'Automotive' theatre, you may wanna check this one out. You can check out the poster at Catmari Blog The run is from Monday 20th April - Saturday 25th April (all performances are 8pm starts) THE TAP GALLERY 278 Palmer St. Darlinghurst (there's a cool cafe on site to cure the munchies) Tickets are from www.moshtix.com.au or by calling 0425 711 732 Cheers guys. Have a great one. |

Might take it to Melbourne after we see how Sydney performs....
It's a pretty full on hell ride. I thought, hey, I love cars...why not write something that's punchy based in the auto world? The beauty of it is that it doesn't let up.... Hopefuly we'll come down to Melbourne and blow em away! You gotta keep your head up and just power on. |

Just a quick note to say thanks for the support.
The production went well - definitely an original production unlike anything on the Independent Theatre scene. It literally doesn't let up and runs for roughly 1hr 15min. Feedback was great and there's hope to run it again maybe mid year - maybe even try and get it to Melbourne. Cars for me, like many people on this forum, are in my blood. It was hectic at times to put this one together (pretty much had a month of prep). All cool. If anyone is interested you can check out some production photographs at http://catmariblog.blogspot.com/ The photos were taken by a very talented young photographer by the name of Karem Nunez. She's got a great eye for capturing & framing some awesome shots. Again, thanks for all the well wishes. I know that alot of us are doing it tough during these uncertain times. No matter what we've just got to keep our foot on that gas pedal and keep moving forward. David |
