Default Suspension Of License QLD

A friend of mine recently went on a trip to Queensland for a wedding.
On the way back from the wedding he was pulled over for a alcohol test, he blew .09.
What I want to know is how long will he most likely lose his license for, and what sort of fine will he be looking at?
He holds a Tasmanian license, so does this change anything?
It is his first offense in 24 years as well.
Thanks in advance.
Todd.

.09 will be something in the 600-1000 range and maybe 3-6 months.

He will be prohibited from driving in QLD and will probably get a show cause from TASPOL.

I am fairly sure it is not an automatic suspension in all states yet.

hey mate, i got done for .1 in feb this year, and i had a $500 fine and a 8 month restriction, the idea is that i have a work licence so i can still get to work and back, and they normally double the period, so it should have been a 4 month normal suspension.

I am pretty sure he has an obligation to declare a driving susoension in any state to his relative state's licensing athority, failure to do so is an offence.
