Hey people,
My washer jet covers on the bonet are old and discoloured, originally being the colour black. What should i use to re-paint these back to there black colour? Is just a small tin of hobby paint suitable for the job? Thanks guys, Paul |

If you paint them it will most likely flake off eventually anyway. Best to either get some good stuff like Back To Black onto them, or buy a new set.

When was the last time you gought some??? when mine went white i rang repco and they didn't sell them "only ford has them" he said so i called them and they were $19.95 EACH = $39.90 for 2, yer right i said so i went to Pick-a-part and got 3 for $4. To make them look and feel new i just sanded then down with very fine wet and dry, done PS: i also did the same to the demister switch and it now looks like it's new. |

Back to black wouldn't help... I'd be inclined to paint rather than buy new. As others have said make sure you clear coat as well.

i painted mine in the same colour as the car. i lightly sanded them pack and i got a colured pen same colour as the car, i put about 3 coats on it and it comes up a treat.
i have had them on there for about 6 months and the arent flaking off yet. |
