Default New Fiesta Insurance

Just wondering what insurance company you guys/girls are using for a new zetec and how much you are paying.

Just got our renewal from Budget and it is $950 with 1 driver under 25.

Hmm well rang them and dropped it down from $950 to $700 by just looking at other quotes online. (pay monthly so a little bit higher)

My wife was 29 at the time and is paying about 600 with RACV for agreed value 22k (in monthly installments), both of us have a perfect record but we dont live in the city so there's no crime and never been a car stolen here etc so that helps. I actually thought thqat was a bit pricey, I only pay 300 for my 5 litre Commodore but that's not worth much and woudl be written off if a stone hit it :p

For a 5dr Zetec, we were quoted $403 from AAMI.

Not too bad, but for a G6ET it was only another $80 even though the purchase price was more than double...

Sorry, should have clarified (after checking my scribble)
$370/Yr was with a $500 excess. $317/Yr with a $1000 excess. We are also eligible for a multi policy discount as we have our current car, house and contents with them.

Wow! $700 only?! My dad called up NRMA for a quote and was told $2000 because I'm only 19 and then he later called AAMI and was quoted $5000

This is for a 5DR Auto Zetec

Yeah thats what ive been getting, im only 20 and ive gotten anywhere from 2.5k to 4.5k from the big companies. Try Youi.com.au, i got the lowest from them because they ask A LOT of questions in their online quote and so they get a more accurate picture of what you do with the car, where you park it, etc. Whereas some of the bigger companies, no to name any names, but the ones that advertise alot, ask you one page of questions to find out if you should be stereotyped into the male P plate category and slap a massive increase just because of that. 4.5k a year, i might as well take my chances without insurance, i could have 2-3 back bumper crashes a year and still have change left over.

Insurance is costing me $1280 with AAMI and I'm only 20. That's for a 3 door WS Zetec. I think that was pretty good considering my age.

I'm with AAMI. I'm a 20 years old male, no bad records, been legally driving since 2006, private use, 3-Door Zetec. And my price was...

$749.00

Keep in mind that I will get 10% back for this too, as they have offered me a Free Defencive Driving Corse day, as they do with all under 25 year olds. I did get a Flexi-Premium, of $500, so my total excess is not pretty ($1,700).

I am on the wrong side of 50 with 60% NCB: FEZ is $492 with Commonwealth Insurance, they were the cheapest. Fairmont Ghia is with AAMI and its $564.

Hmm I'm with AAMI too but why is it that I'm paying $150 more than you? Mind me asking where you're located? I'll probably have to call them up and see if I can get a better deal.

That's with a flexi-premium, so should the worst happen I have to pay $1,700 as my excess ($500 Normal Excess + $700 Young Driver Excess + $500 Flexi-Premium). I also get 10% back when I take this Driver Course, so that will be cool. I believe the normal premium (with just the $500 Normal Excess and $700 Young Driver Excess) was just over $900. Still not bad. I also have my home contents with AAMI which helps as it drops my rating down one rung.

I'm in Toowoomba Qld though, Newtown. Quite suburb, with a few major roads. It's an alright suburb, so maybe that helps where others are in major cities?
