Default The Electric Ford

Have been reading the threads on LPG vs Petrol.
With the emergence of electic powered vehicles that can be re-charged from a domestic power point, I must ask the question.
How will the government collect the excise on the re-charge?
I have no problem with the GST as they will get that from the electricity account.
Will the government go bankrupt?

Yes of course they never will! With the term 'Global Climate Change' under their wing, they can put as much excise on as they want and everyone will stupidly go along with it ..... for the good of the planet.

Surely we can't be talking about our caring, sharing, Rudd government here? After all their entire platform is based on consultation, caring for the environment and making Australia a better and greener place for all Australians - a place in which everyone can grow and reach their full potential as healthy and happy vegemite fed citizens all walking hand in hand toward a better future.

Don't worry I'll wake up shortly.

It doesn't matter. They come up with some BS surcharge and tax to cover it.

ETS anyone?

Correct. It's called a carbon trading scheme.
