If its the XR5 it should have different alloys than the MA, which was Y spoke design, plus MB has adaptive cruse control and collision warning? You can also see in the grill at the front on the MB, that some of the hexagon's are filled in to the right of the ford badge.

All other MB Mondeo's exept the LX now have the premium Convers+ display in the dash, plus a crome exterior lining on the bottom of the door windows.

Thanks Ric0Z....thats comforting to know that I am in an MB and did not get cheated. Apparently however, I got one of the first MB XR5s and the manuals are still to arrive. So some bright spark in the shop decided to put MA manuals in there and confused the hell out of me.

Thanks for your help.

The model code will be on the ID plate, no way the dealer would be stupid enough to pass off an old model as current! Why do you think the dealer has 'cheated' you?

I felt I was cheated because of the manuals in the car and all the references to MA. I did not think they would be that stupid. However I was told by one dealer that I had an 8 week wait for an XR5 and then this other dealer got me one within 3 days of placing an order. So I got a bit suss thinking the new dealer off loaded an old car.

I got a manual for my MB Zetec Wagon, Im pretty sure they are all the same? They must have lost the manual cause Im sure it's available. Ask the dealer about it.

For wait times, it depends on what other dealers are in their group/network so they could do a swap deal to get you your XR5 from another yard.

Happy driving in your new Mondy! I've had mine for 5 weeks and loving it.
