The smoke has escaped from the underbonnet wiring on my sons RS2000 (1979).
Whilst try to work out how to put it back I discovered that the major culprit is a quite a heavy wire (red with green trace). Unfortunately the wiring diagram he has does not appear to use this colour code. Do any of you learned gentlemen have a more suitable diagram? I also discovered that there is an electrically operated fuel line cut off positioned under the car in the rear section, I was not aware of Ford fitting one and am wondering if it is standard or is maybe an anti-theft device. Any ideas? If any body has an underbonnet loom for sale it would save me many hours of time I don't have rebuilding the burnt version Thanks in advance Ken |

Ken, how much different would the standard 2 litre loom be to the RS?, I'm converting a couple to race cars for Dirt Circuit shortly and would have at least 2 looms available, The son races an RS 2000 but the wiring was already gone.

Les, Thanks for the reply. As far as I know the only difference is in the headlight sub looms.
I have picked up a 2.0 loom locally so I guess I'll find out tomorrow Cheers Ken |
