depending on the offsets - 13x7's will fit but will most likely need to have the guard edges rolled
I had my front guards formed in the RS3100 style which allowed up to 16x7 to fit whith the back guards slightly flared to match great old school wheels with that deep offset |

The size of the tyre is probably more important. I have 13 by 6 wheels and 205/60 tyres on the front which fit by rolling the tops of the guards. At the rear 225/60 tyes just fit. At the front you could gain a little more clearance by fitting adjustable strut tops and set up for some negative camber. Smaller size tyres would be great if you can find some.

Hey guys,
I am trying to stuff 17 * 8 under the Capri I have with 235 / 40 serries tires. I am going to have to sweet talk the engineer when it goes in for the signoff of the engine, diff gearbox etc etc etc. Here are the wheels (EL GT Copies) on teh back. I am planning on lowering it about 3 inches from where it is sitting now. Need to put on some flared arches which will be a definate on the front but that is another thred all together. |

Yeah I know what you mean.
THe back ones are contained within the guards just but would rub so I what flare just slightly. The front will require some more significant thought as they rub on the macpherson strut if I dont use a spacer. The front guards will definately need to have a flare put on them though. Just checking out now some rust repair panels form a mk1 golf for their wheel arches which would graft on quite nicely. Anyway thats my issues as I want as big as I can get as I am trying to run 4 pot brembos up front from a range rover sport that I got for 100pounds on ebay. David |
