Just when I think I have everything sorted out another problem occurs....
Car: AUXR8 III auto Problem: missing when its cold (for about 5 to 10 minutes) then the car runs fine. When the car is cold it runs like its coughing and spluttering. When its hot the car runs absolutely normal. I have never seen a fault like this. Normally its the other way around. Car cold runs good then when hot bad. Please help ???? |

may be a sticky valve???
not sure really.. but had a car that did the same thing and was told that..

I thought my car was missing when cold, turns out i just couldn't see it through the fog.

For those interested. ABout 6 months ago I talked on this threat about a fault where the car occasionally had like a miss or a pause and then it was OK for a while then played up again. That turned out to be the CAM Angle sensor.
This time its the crankshaft angle sensor. Yes, it turns out we have both. At least its fixed now. |

its located where the Dizzy usually sits. Under the Coils on an AU. Oxygen sensor sounds like the fault with it spluttering etc when cold or it could also be CTS.

Here's the latest. It was not the CAM sensor or the Crankshaft sensor. It turned out to be the alternator. It appears it was only slightly charging and the car when running was sittingf at about 11.5 volts. None of the sensors like that apparently.
Bottom line is new alternator and all is fixed. ...... Till next time. PS this forum is still playing up for me. It is becomming more frustrating than my car at the moment. |
