Default i think a civic could be faster then an xr8 with the same ammount of money put in

i dont really, but im fighting with a bunch of idiots who do, lets say you have 20 grand to pump into both a honda civic or a v8 falcon (ltd, xr8, gt, whatever) will a civic be faster?

Faster at what? Drag racing, circuits?

Civics can be built to go fast. I'd think you would be surprised. Little Honda's can be quick little things.

But i fear this thread will turn in to useless V8 chest beating, with vtec jokes...

good point, but for the sake of argument lets say its done by the same professional, you buy a civic for 4 grand, and you by an ef xr8 for 4 grand, i really need one professional person to agree or disagree with a 4 cylinder civic being faster then an xr8

[edit] ooh and its on the strait, of course a civic will do better then an FR around corners but then again, falcons are pretty good with controll on the newer versions

turbo the 4cyl or turbo the v8 I know which will be fastest in a straight line.

Its not hard to work out which one will go around corners quicker too.

One thing you need to know is to never argue with idiots they will beat you with experience and bring you down to their level.
