Default Fiesta WS features

Apologies if this is a repost but since I saw a similar thread for the mondeo drivers, why not in this section since I own a Fiesta as well. I wonder if you guys know any good features that wasn't mentioned in the manual or by the dealer? as I mentioned in the other thread about auto windows by remote control, which doesn't even effect on the zetec versions :/

I for one love 'Lane Interchange' by slightly hitting the indicators and having them flash only one or three times. But I adore how the indicators always finish their full flash even if the indicator clicks halfway through a flash. Love this!

Are you saying that the windows can be opened with the remote?

Nope, unfortunately, I tried - nothing works, just that I attempted to see if it is a feature, but.

You can change it to one through the centre display unit, by going into 'Menu' and then 'Vehicle.'

Which is exactly what I did as I occasionally bump the indicator and 3 flashes looks like I intend to change lanes.

I *hate* the lane changer, worst thing about the car for me, I guess I could get used to it but all it does for me is make me look like a twit when turning them off after slight bends and going a little too far and driving along indicating the other direction :P

Really? I kno i have a WQ, but we have the same feature and i love it!!!! Very rarely turn my indicator on unless i'm actually turning a bend and then it goes off automatically anyway!! Great feature!! But i suppose its each to there own and wat each individual is use to.

It's also the fact that where I live has no roads with two lanes :P so there's really no purpose changing to the other lane unless you want to head on with a B Double

I want to know how you can let people know you intend to change lanes and complete the change all within 3 flashes!

I don't live in congested traffic conditions so it's just a thing to move over into the right lane, doesn't necessarily mean someone is behind me or in the lane. Still use normal lane changing when merging.

I for one think having the indicators on the left hand side makes so much sense. Most would shoot me for this, but it comes so naturally to me now I can see the logic behind Ford's cost cutting! LOL

I tried pulling the light stalk back as i left the car tonight as I walked inside... The follow me home headlights function worked and stayed on for about 30seconds and switched off which was cool.

Also I didnt realise till today that if you press the end of the indicator stalk in repeatedly, it scrolls through the trip computer for you...

Also if you accidently leave your high beams or fog lights on, when you restart the car it automatically turns both off...

Its probably in the manual but I didnt read it probably...

Might be in the Euro manual, but it isn't in the Oz one.

Someone posted a link to a copy of the Euro manual a few weeks back mate, it's much better than the Aussie one as they seem to have included a lot more important information. As for shift speeds, I'm not 100% sure sorry man.

This will be handy as Dad is driving my car around currently and he has a habit of being in too low gear all the time.

Has anyone seen the "Shift Indicator" light working on their car? As stated, there is supposed to be one of these on the WS Fiestas (see image from manual below).

I have tried running in the car in a lower gear (e.g. in third when cruising at 80km/h), but the light doesn't come on. Is this feature available on the AU delivered cars?

Hmm never knew our WS Fiestas had that function. MIght look out for it next time. Pitty that it states that it doesn't work as a sport shift light though.

We tried to use it 2nite and you cant really see anything in the back...

Yeah Goes Like A Zetec, Titanium models get front and rear lighting. Base models don't though.

So is there likely to be the wiring inside the roof lining already there do you think?

I had a bag in the back again last night and it was terrible. I couldnt see anything.

If the wiring is there surely it couldnt be too hard to retro fit them......?

Just realised something here,,, I was driving to work today, and I locked the doors from the inside by the press of the button on the dashboard, and when I arrived- i seemed to forgot to turn it off, but it automatically opens the door after turning off the car engine, interesting feature, no?
