Damnit, won't be the same. It'll need to reflect "Australia's cultural values in a diverse multi-cultural society", be ecologically friendly (scenes of solar panels et al). The cars will need to be Kia Rio's, Daewoo Barina's, Great Wall V220's, AND be pedestrian friendly otherwise Miller risks dealing with Harold Scuby.

Dang, should be fun afterall.

But no Gibson? Not the same! Mind you, would we really want, by now - an old fella running around the scrub with 'well worn' smelly garb, waffling on in early dementia about the days of V8 interceptors, the Toe Cutter, assorted bogans??

Mad Max Fury Road, sounds like this location;-

Mmm, might be able to fit a Commodore in afterall.....

Where are they going to find enough old cars to destroy? They will all be worth something now. Cant use newer cars as none would of been made in the Mad Max world.

No Gibson but Sam Worthington, he is gonna be a superstar and should do the movie justice.

Just reading up about it in the newspaper, Original director can only be a good thing! I hope they don't over CGI it, and try and keep it true to the original format, unlikely I know but we can only hope, Sam Worthington would be a great lead actor for the role.

Imagine the movie tag line.

Going by the cars used in the third installment, the cars for the 4th movie would be left overs from junkyard wars.

Default Mad Max is back but is Mel?

Deleat if repost....

http://bigpondnews.com/articles/Ente...el_386312.html

Saturday, October 24, 2009 » 03:15pm

It's been 24 years since the release of the last movie but Mad Max is back.

Aussie star Mel Gibson is in the running to reprise his leading role in the fourth instalment of the hugely successful franchise, which will be called Fury Road and is due to begin filming in Sydney in August next year.

But director George Miller, who was at the helm for the previous Mad Max movies, stressed Gibson had not yet been cast and that new faces were likely to feature.

'I'm still in the middle of casting, despite all the stuff we see on the net and so on. I don't even know who the final cast will be,' Miller told reporters at a press conference in Sydney on Saturday.

The story for Fury Road is already fully formed and Miller says it will modernise the franchise and take it in a new direction.

The film will be shot in Broken Hill, in outback NSW, and in Sydney.
