gday
Does anyone know if the suspension fitted to the SR wagons known as sports suspension is TICKFORD suspension. Apparently according to the sales brochures it only fitted to the SR wagons II/III It feels as firm as my Xr6 ute . A couple photos of the wagon with photoshopped TS50 wheels Last edited by V8falcons; 24-08-2005 at 03:20 PM. |

It is approximately 30mm lower than standard wagon height. Whether or not Tickford did or Ford did it, I'm not sure. It is the same height as the Pedders stage 1 lowering kit for wagons.
Does that help? BTW - terrible photochop!

I have a mate with an AUI V8 Fairmont wagon with the Tickford suspension factory optioned and he gets the tickford compliance plate under the bonnent and the 17" tickford wheels. The AUII/III S wagons look to have all the same suspension but didn't get the tickford option compliance plate.
Ford dealer used to carry a tickford suspension upgrade kit for the wagons I have an old add for it I can find somewhere its all the same components again though. Comparing my mates which is a V8 its just lowered really the only big difference you can tell, not a lot stiffer than stock but doesn't lean or roll in the back as much as mine. |
