I didn't even realize that he was still on TV. I'm with Kenaz, get rid of him, just don't take my Before the Game away.

Never really liked him. Won't miss the show at all.

Saw him live last year, someone got myself and the Mrs free tickets. Only went because the Mrs wanted to.

I found him not really funny (apart from maybe one or two jokes), but rather crass actually.

The crowd appeared full of youngins, eager to laugh at his every whim. I was so happy when it was over.

Maybe next year they can show F1 at a reasonable hour and not after when Rove finishes (I know he has finished) at some stupid hour.

I dont find Rove himself all that funny but the others like Helliar, Hamish and Andy etc make the show ok. Probably time for something new after all these years. Will no doubt be something crap.
Will be either a crime show - NCIS Afghanistan unit.
Some singing reality show - Senior citizen Idol
or another chef thing - Criminal master chef.

Damn, I couldn't stop laughing when I imagined Chopper as a chef. You made my day, mate :P

I really only found Rove Live funny up until 2004-ish, then it just went downhill fast, after that. Would've been smarter to can this show earlier, methinks.

Banana Splits?? Next it will be HR Puffinstuff! and dont bag the Muppets...Great show. Specially Statler & Waldorf, the two old guys in the balcony Wouldnt mind them putting that back on the idiot box.

At least one channel is attempting to bring back some classic Aussie Tv. Caught an ad yesterday for a special - re-runs of The Paul Hogan show

Statler and Waldorf are brilliant.
I actually consider the greatest show of all time to be Sesame Street (not any of that Play with me, Sesame crap - nothing but a marketing tool for Elmo garbage - ruined Sesame Street).

Now I am 26 and people love to ridicule me for the perception that it's a 'baby's show' and that I should 'grow up', but no TV show has educated people as much as Sesame Street did, specifically counting, the alphabet, diction, co-operation, as well as different cultures around the world. Manufacturing of household items was also a feature.

The songs of Joe Raposo and Co. are still legendary even today.

Jim Henson IMO was and is a creative genius who had a profound effect on my life.

If 'Real Stories' was part of the Roving family, I'd really like to see that say, mainly because of the Hamish and Andy duo.

Not a minute too soon!

Cant say i've really enjoyed it since its return, especially without Carrie at the news desk.

They'll proberbly replace it with re runs of Big Brother....or worse, a return of BB.

I never found his show really funny at all. There were odd moments that were mildly amusing but it was just crap really.

Watching the best of Paul Hogan's Show last night made me realise how crap Rove really is!

Good riddance!

I've heard that Rove has made jokes about it being his last show in the past, but I've hardly ever watched Rove so I wouldn't know.

This looks like a similar phenomenon to the late '90s. Popular shows got tired and were ether axed or heavily revamped to the extent where the show was ruined so they were no longer the same to watch.

I personally can't stand the crap on Ten. It looks to be mostly targeted at younger narrow minded females, or imported American crime shows and anything else American I get pushed to watch like "Glee" (now I'm about to rant). Although that's just my opinion, if you like it then good on you.

I hope you don't think I'm bagging the muppets. Jim Henson was a true genius it was a show that even adults could enjoy with their children without having to rely on computer generated imagery to create a bit of fantasy and keep people entertained.
There should be more shows like this rather than crapulus things like ROVE who would sell out anyone for a laugh.
