Default Instant Car Buyers???? Who? What?

I've got my Falcon up for sale at the moment and i've just been contacted by a company called Instant Car Buyers. They are situated in Smithfield and they would like me to drive my car around there as they are interested in it.

Apparently they buy cars all around the country and sell them back to clients but i can't seem to find any website or anything although they are listed on Hotfrog as
Quote:
We buy motor vehicles on the spot. Safe, Secure and Easy. Finance paid out.

We buy all makes and models of CARS, UTES and 4WD. Top dollar paid.
Anyone ever dealt with them before? I'm assuming since it's a company they will try and lowball me and i will have to reply with a "ohh man your breakin my balls here" but just after any advice really. I've Never sold a car before lol

I suppose i'll have to get those new tyres on the rear tomorrow!

Or this one sounds even more interesting as a guy here knows the owner

Matt, they're dodgy. There is however a few genuine places that will buy at wholesale rates..

try: carswanted.com.au

expect them to offer between 9 &11...

Cheers

Thanks Ben! i'll give them a look at lunch.

I'm gonna sell the Falcon just to free up my cashflow. Gonna sell it, pay off a loan and buy a cheap jap four banger - thinking a KE70 with an EFI 4AGE already set up - cost around $4-5k

great idea, a mate of mine had one and the thing ripped! Have you already sourced one? Or still looking? Be nice if you could find a 4AGZE... SR20DET or FJ into an escort would be special too.

I've already got an Escort but i won't be putting a new engine in it. I'm going to fix up the Pinto 2L for the time being.

The KE70 i'm lookin around for. Good ones get snapped up as soon as they go on sale, sometimes within hours, so it's gonna be tough. I gotta get the escort running properly first (rebuild the standard carb before organising to get my twin sidedrafts on) so i can drive it around while i'm looking for the Rolla.

If not a Rolla, maybe an 80's RWD Celica. I like them

Got a call from a number of these mobs when I was selling a car. They offer less than what a dealership is willing to give you....

Mess with them - agree to take the car down there for a fee of course - your time is valuable. Charge at say $50 an hour plus fuel.

Or even better tell them you be there within the hours of 1-5pm and then never show up
