I saw a VE commodore with the Pontiac G8 front end displayed at Westfield in South Morang a couple of days ago. Must have been this new model, did not impress me at all. I'd take a Series one VE R8 any day over that!

Err no.
The GTO was a Pontiac, not a Chevrolet.
The Chevy badges are not excess stock, they are from the cars Holden sell to the Middle East

When your blood runs blue you DON'T want a commodore no matter how good it looks or goes.

Sheesh.

You must be so dissapointed every time you cut yourself, I would say it could make you suicidal, however slitting ones wrists, and seeing all that Red would just make you feel worse....

I saw a couple of SSs today at a local Holden dealership with the G8 front, and I thought they looked pretty good.

Even the E2. I wasn't a fan of it at all, but I saw a white E2 Maloo the other week. The pictures never really done them any justice I reckon.

I woudln't say no to one but at $60K I certainly think people are over-reacting when they say its a bargain...

I'd rather save $20K and buy an XR6T or WRX.

Way overdone both front and back.

Not to mention the ridiculous runnings lights - way too bright. Audi do it much better...

Yeah actually. I'm not a fan at all, even in the flesh they just don't look "right" to me.
The VE I was a tough looking ride, this just doesn't do it for me even with the price tag.

HSV would have been well aware that FPV were releasing a budget model. It was probably one of the worst keep secrets going around.

Typical Holden/HSV BS.

Don't forget had the Pontiac program not been canned, HSV probably wouldn't have bothered down this line.

They had alot of excess LS3's & Brembo brakes which they don't normally use to offload.
