Default Blown & 351 Windsor powered E series

Hi all,

No, I'm not building one, but thought I'd ask a couple of questions just for the sake of it to see what other people's thoughts are!!

How come there isn't all that many blown (or turbo) V8 E's running around?!?!?!

Also years ago there was a prototype EA built by Ford Oz in a grouse blue colour which from memory had an injected 351 Windsor fitted & was plastered with massive 351 GT decals along the sides.... who remembers that car??

That car now leads me to my next question.... how come nobody has an injected 5.8 plonked into their E series as yet either?!?!?!

I cant recall ever seeing any other 351 Windsor powered E's...... maybe I spend WAY to much time driving interstate in my truck & need to get out more!!

The EA GT 351 prototype is on display at the Ford Discovery centre.

It's probably just as easy to stroke the 5.0L than to fit a 351W. The only way you could get hold of one would be to ship the engine from the US or find an F-series that has one fitted (I dont think there are many in this country). If I had kept my V8 EF Gli I probably would have stroked it by now.

I have known of a few centrifically surpecharged V8 EFs. And there was a turbo V8 EF for sale on the for sale section for a while as well.

Yeah theres a few 5.8L injected e-series going around now.

The only rare 5.8 EFI motors are the roller-block ones, found in '94-'95 F-150's in the states.
Theres alot of other EFI 5.8's in the older F-trucks etc, but they were flat-tappet blocks.
