My EA is onl fuel/gas and i havent seen lpg prices go below 45c/l in nearly a month now!
Even with the 'fu@koff' 4c/l lpg card bp gives, my car chews that much gas if i have to pay over 55c a litre i might aswell put petrol in. Fuel Has been hovering at $1.25

I paid $1.49 for PULP yesterday. I love my car, but I don't know how much longer I'll be able to keep this up :

Key, just to clarify, I meant the price of LPG relative to petrol is apparently going to rise. I will be very interested to compare the running costs of my Laser and the EA when it's on LPG. I paid $60 to fill up the 4 cyl with PULP yesterday. If all else fails, it's not that hard to build a DIY electric car.

The price of LPG will rise 2.5c a litre every year, for five years (until the irse reaches 12.5c), from 2008 I think.
Converting to gas isn't hard. I did my old car for about $400 including brand new lines, which were professionally installed along with a second hand in date tank. The mounting of the converter/mixer along with all the engine bay plumbing was done at home, as well as the wiring for dual fuel. If you can get a wreck and transfer everything you need, that's the best option. Sundeep Last edited by Sundeep; 08-09-2005 at 01:13 PM. Reason: Spelling mistake....:o) |
