Default 30k Service.

Hey, my little festa has just turned 30k and is going in for a service shortly.

Does anyone has an approximate cost and is there anything that I should get the service techs to check???

Cheers!!!

Mine's 14,800kms ... picked it up May 2009, it is a December 2008 build (straight from Cologne).

Not sure what the 30,000kms service entails. I will be interested to see how the car keeps running as you tick over with the kms, particularly towards 100,000 ... whether anything goes pop or it's all general maintenance.

Haven't had any issues so far, well except for a squeeky clutch pedal, but that has been a problem since new. Apparently they fixed it at the 15k service but it's still squekking, might ask for a new pedal assembly and see what happens

I'd stick with the Ford OEM ones, even Euro parts recommends them with their upgraded leads.

New Developement: Knocking noise from front right, possibly the CV joint. Let's see how I fair with a Ford warranty claim.

Had 30k service done on friday, $325 with injector clean. Apparently the couldn't find anything wrong with the front suspension so they just sprayed some silicone grease on the CV joint boot and prayed. Drove it to Brisbane and back over the weekend without any noise so here's hoping

We have 52K on ours, no problems so far. The 30k service was ages ago and the same price as all the others at $150, The next one is a more costly one Will be keeping the car for 5 years I think so it'll be interesting to see how it's running then with 250k on it. If new crate motors or a larger motor are available then it might even get a motor swap and do another 5 years. I could hear a knocking noise from under the car somewhere in the suspension on our drive to qld the other day it's not doing it on the local roads, but I'm keeping and eye(ear) on that to see if it comes back
