I reckon its a scam if i had a car worth that much i would either have it insured for 200k or locked up in a safe and the last place i would sell it on is ebay.

How many "genuine" XY GT's and HO's are REALLY all genuine, not many as most a some repo parts !!. I know of a few XY HO's that now have Fairmont bodies :hihi: tricked up etc etc, but they were genuine in every other way. Just the bodies were a tad crumpled at the time :hihi: Whether its actually worth $50k depends if someone wants it etc and I hope they do as it would be a shame to lose these historical cars. I'm sure he would not wreck it as he could a more realistic cash offer for it as it stands. |

This whole wrecking the car if it doesn't sell is a bit of a scare tacted hoping someone will pay what he want, thinking they are saving a rare car.

Ford did build `em, dunno how many. they were in an old car mag my father had lying `round a few years ago...genuine original is an exaggeration though, they were GS spec...also wont give compliance number out, says all No`s are there to verify. compliance would be all that`s needed to verify, why keep that a secret? bullshit mock-up...good job but still mock-up. me thinks he`s spent so much on body/trim that he wants the $$$back...

Even though the link keeps coming up as link not found - 404, Im sorry, this IMO just a scam, NO ONE in their right mind, if their car doesn't sell @ 200k would wreck it & sell the parts. NO ONE. Might as well finish it if need be, park it & wait for the demand, cause looking at the past, it will come.
I mean did the guys who owned phase I, II, & III faclons say, if it doesnt reach 500k at auction, im going to wreck it? I doubt that very much.......... BBII

A guy at the car show i went to on the week-end had a genuine LH drive HR holden one of only 20 made and the only one in Australia he had been offered $50,000 and knocked it back
